On 8:00 am this morning, Nantong, as the 6th city accessible for subway transport in Jiangsu province, completed its construction of No.1 subway line that citizens have been longing for and it is now officially opened for operation.

Nantong No.1 subway line starts from Pingchao station, passing through city blocks of Tongzhou district, Chongchuan district, Nantong innovation zone and Nantong development zone, and ends at Zhenxing Road station. Its has a total 28 stations and a total length of 39.182 kilometers, which makes it the infrastructure project with the largest scale, the most investments and the most complicated management and operation in the urban construction history of Nantong, as well as the first and longest line of the subway construction process among cities in Jiangsu province.
